The First Constitution is also known as the Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union; this first constitution was brought up or mentioned by George Washington our past president. George Washington had a famous saying which was "no money" because in 1786 we could print money but there was no way we could pay it back. We couldn’t receive money back because they asked for money from all the states, but some states paid & some didn't so it was hard. Making money in 1786 was useless & hard for everyone but that’s when the economy started dropping and the prices started rising.
The economy was so bad that when the men of the US Army fought against the British people they didn't get paid, so it was unfair to the citizens. Congress was stuck, couldn’t do nothing, & also had no money; if their were wars or battles then congress neither the US could do nothing because of the economy & the protesting going on about the peace treaty. Later, nine states came together to try & fix this big issue. On April of 1786 nine states were present to vote, but only one person from each state could go up & vote but the state had to show up. The US was also trying to have or be able to have peace with Britain but New York & South Carolina did not allow it so they protested against it or violated that right by prosecuting loyalists for war activity.
